BROADWAY UNDER THE STARS
-Transcendence Theatre Company, Sonoma, CA
Brian-29“Brian Golub’s performance with Transcendence Theatre was stellar. His was my favorite of the evening and Yes! He alone is worth the hefty price of admission. Brian’s lilting plaintiff rendition of “Let it Be” was moving and awesome. Watching the moon rise and the stars fade while listening to Golub’s rousing tenor, was as sublime an experience as one can expect on a summer’s eve.”

ALL SHOOK UP
-Maine State Music Theatre, Brunswick, Maine
“Cranial, adorable and frustrated Dennis — a show-stealing MSMT debut by Brian Golub —stumbles under the weight of quirky angst. …Ranking the vocal perfomances among this gifted cast is like trying to decide which of Elvis’s hit songs was best, but stand-out performances were delivered by Golub for the men and Starr Domingue in her role as forbidden love Lorraine for the women.”
-TIMES RECORD
“Ultimately, though, the show’s success, as it always does, belongs to the principles, particularly Alex Ellis and Brian Golub. As Natalie and Dennis, two whimpering, wide-eyed fawns, their energy is infectious, their innocence is inspiring, and they are very, very funny.”

ALTAR BOYZ
-Phoenix Theatre, Phoenix, Arizona
“Of course, Del Aguila has written the five Boyz as archetypes: The Hunk, The Dumb Hunk, The Sissy, The Sex-Crazed Hispanic, and The Jew — the last character straight out of Central Casting and, as portrayed by Brian M. Golub, the only one of the performances that brings some depth to a shorthanded stereotype. Golub underplays every one of his bits of Borscht Belt business and, by the time he wound up the show with ‘I Believe,’ a power-ballad paean to piety and friendship, I was convinced he was a Jewish/Catholic pop star..”
– PHOENIX NEW TIMES

“Abraham (Brian M. Golub):The showstopper of the group, this boy has an amazing voice. I havenever paid more attention to the Abe character until his performance. He demands attention with great character work, good physicality, and again, his incredible voice. You really cold see the growth Abe faces in the show from awkward and a bit unsure of his place to confident leader and unifier. He found a great way to balance confidence (he kept winking at me since I was in the front! Loved it!) and the stress of fitting in, which culminated well with how he used the stool and interacted with the puppets on “Every Body Fits.” His portrayal of Abe’s growth in the show made for an amazing “I Believe” number that made the song live up to it’s true potential. I’d keep my eye on this performer for sure, with his talent he is bound to get the attention he deserves soon..”

“Many actors shine in multiple roles. Brian Golub proves a nimble dancer as Not Dead Fred, a sweet-voiced crooner as Prince Herbert, and a genial narrator as a present-day historian.”

“Almost stealing the show are Jeremy Morse as Arthur’s servant who has perfected the art of using coconut shells to make the sounds of horses hooves, and Brian Golub, whose effiminate Prince Herbert nearly brings the house down as he and the outed Sir Lancelot become an item.”
