THE WEDDING SINGER
-Gateway Playhouse, Bellport, NY
“The goofiness of a bar mitzvah scene in which a band member who resembles Boy George (Brian Golub) sings in Hebrew plays just right here.”

ALTAR BOYZ
-Phoenix Theatre, Phoenix, Arizona
“Of course, Del Aguila has written the five Boyz as archetypes: The Hunk, The Dumb Hunk, The Sissy, The Sex-Crazed Hispanic, and The Jew — the last character straight out of Central Casting and, as portrayed by Brian M. Golub, the only one of the performances that brings some depth to a shorthanded stereotype. Golub underplays every one of his bits of Borscht Belt business and, by the time he wound up the show with ‘I Believe,’ a power-ballad paean to piety and friendship, I was convinced he was a Jewish/Catholic pop star..”

“Abraham (Brian M. Golub):The showstopper of the group, this boy has an amazing voice. I havenever paid more attention to the Abe character until his performance. He demands attention with great character work, good physicality, and again, his incredible voice. You really cold see the growth Abe faces in the show from awkward and a bit unsure of his place to confident leader and unifier. He found a great way to balance confidence (he kept winking at me since I was in the front! Loved it!) and the stress of fitting in, which culminated well with how he used the stool and interacted with the puppets on “Every Body Fits.” His portrayal of Abe’s growth in the show made for an amazing “I Believe” number that made the song live up to it’s true potential. I’d keep my eye on this performer for sure, with his talent he is bound to get the attention he deserves soon..”

GREASE
-Actors’ Playhouse, Coral Gables, Florida
“Brian M. Golub as Doody nearly stops the show with an incredible Those Magic Changes, singing the Sam Harris revival version better than Sam Harris.”
– TALKIN BROADWAY
“As Doody, Brian M. Golub belted out breathtaking vocals meeting nothing but feverish applause.”
-MIAMI NEW TIMES
“Brian M. Golub sings Doody’s ‘Those Magic Changes’ with a perfect tranquility that morphs into pure showmanship as it should.”
